I'd like to filter the water used in my bath tub. Could I swirl this cartridge in a bath tub filled with water for a few minutes (about 3-5 minutes) to remove contaminants ?
No this will not work for that. We do have bath filters. Here are the links to them.

How long do you run the water after installing a new filter?
It requires just 15 seconds to flush before using.

How long is this cartridge supposed to last?
They have a filtering capacity of up to 9 months depending on your water. That is just a approximation as every ones water is different and there are so many variables.

We have unfortunately ordered the wrong filters twice from Amazon. Please tell me the exact dimensions of this filter. Thank you.
They are 3" around and 3.5" long. ProOne only makes one shower filter replacement. As long as you have a ProOne or ProPur shower filter they will fit.
