- Crystal Quest 3 Stage Whole House Fluoride Water Filter
Description:
The Crystal Quest 3 Stage Whole House Fluoride Water Filter has 3 stages of filteration.
First stage, water flows through a 20" sediment filter cartridge that removes sediment, silt, sand and dirt. Also extends the life of water softeners and water filters, and prevents damage to control valves or pumps.Second stage, water flows through a fluoride reducing mineral tank. Containing synthetic Aluminum Oxide absorbant media. Specifically designed to have a high affinity for Fluoride, Lead and Arsenic. It removes metals through a mixture of adsorption and chemical reaction with the media, therefore, the elimination is not reliant on ion exchange. It has uniform particle size, is physically stable and can be used over a wide pH range. Also effectively removes lead and arsenic.
Third stage, water flows through a 20" solid carbon cartridge for removing volatile organic carbon compounds (VOC's, insecticides, pesticides and industrial solvents

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
My well water has a arsenic level of 0.0410 I believe the epa standard is 0.010. Will this system remove what I need ? And is there a less expensive system I can use instead ?
No, this one will not work as you have too much arsenic for it to be effective. You would want the whole house Arsenic filter. Here is the link to it. Crystal Quest Whole House Arsenic Water Filter.

Is this system using activated alumina? Our water tested at 7.7 mg/L, will this system work to bring fluoride levels (in well water) down to 2.0 mg/L (or lower)?
This system comes with activated alumina or Bone Char. If you are using it on a well that is natural accruing fluoride then you would need activated alumina. You would just have to let us know this when you order. Yes it will bring the levels down below 2.0 mg/l.
