The Austin Air Healthmate Junior Plus® uses the same amount of combined filter material as the HealthMate Junior®. However, the activated carbon used in the HealthMate Plus® is impregnated with potassium iodide for better adsorption of certain chemicals, such as formaldehyde. This broad-spectrum adsorption makes the HealthMate Plus the best choice for those exposed to wildfire smoke or chemical disasters.
