THESE ARE NOT FOR THE PH PITCHER.
If you need the ph pitcher replacement here is the link to them
Seychelle Dual water filter pitcher replacement filter removes chlorine, chemicals, VOC's, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals like lead, mercury, aluminum. It also reduces 85 to 90% of fluoride and arsenic. and a wide range of other contaminants It does not remove giardia and cryptosporidium so it is designed as a drinking water product to be used with chlorinated municipal water, and as a replacement for bottled water.. The filter cannot filter out sea water (salt water). The filter has a filtering capacity of 150 gallons or 6 months.
You should flush the filter before the first use with the red flushing bulb. You just screw it onto the filter and hold up to your faucet and slowly turn on your faucet until water starts to flow through the filter for a few minutes. This flushes the carbon dust that might be in the filter and also condition the filter for a better flow rate. You can also flush it periodically if the water flow slows way down.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Hello...I don't have a faucet that will allow the flushing mechanism to stick to it. Is there another way to flush it out?
You can try another faucet ( ie Bathroon or laundry room ) Manufacturer recommends an outside spigot when no other faucet will accommodate the flushing bulb. As they know it will fit correctly and flush properly
How long does filter last
Around 6 months.
Does this include 2 filters for the pitcher?
Yes, it comes with the filters.
I haven't kept track of how many gallons of water I have used with my filter's how can you tell when it's time to change them?
If you have flushed them and the flow rate has not come back to a good flow or the water starts getting the bad taste back. Normally you change them every 4 to 6 months.
I have: 1-40500-2. PH Gen2 Pitcher replacement filters (2). What is the difference between the 40500 and the 40100...both Gen2?
Both of them will fit your pitcher! The 1-40100-2 Gen 2 pitcher filters remove the same contaminants they just DON'T raise the PH of your water. Where as the 1-40500-2 Dual Alkaline replacement filters will raise the PH plus remove the contaminants ( same as the Regular Gen 2 filters )
I have the two filter model, and the filters filter exremely slow sometimes never. What is the problem
The filters need to be flushed properly ( meaning the flushing bulb needs to fit correctly onto your faucet for flushing ) If it doesn't fit well try using an outside spigot to flush them. You will need to have good pressure for flushing them as well. The media inside the filters need to be completely saturated before they will work correctly. Sometimes it takes a few times flushing and using to get them flowing correctly as well. You may have to flush them periodically throughout the filter life as well.
Will these work in an Alexapure pitcher ?

What is the difference between replacement GEN2 REG 1-40100-2 and 1-40101-2?

Do these filters fit on the smaller pitchers?
Yes, they will fit the smaller pitcher.
Is there 2 in the package?
Yes, there are 2 filters.
When are you supposed to change the filters?

Are these filters for the 64 oz. seychelle pitcher?
Yes, they are.
Received my order quickly and the filters are working just as expected.
Thank you so much.
I also like Mr Smith have had the same results as him. The first one lasted 5 to 6 months. The last ones that we have purchased have only lastef a month plus when you flush them out you get soaked because the adapter doesnt fit the faucets. I'm very disappointed because $50 is ridiculous for something that doesnt last as long as stated only a month. They should be preflushed like it says but should not have to be flushed again before use.
I've owned a Seychelle water filter pitcher for seven years. These replacement filters use to last 5 to 6 months as claimed. The replacements I've purchased the past two years have only lasted a month. I thought the first time this happened it was just a fluke. But after six sets of filters doing the same thing, I guess not. I've contacted the manufacturer twice about this but they never responded. Seychelle states to flush the filters if the filters slow down prematurely, but this has never helped and sometimes makes it worse. My water usage has remained constant over the past seven years so that is not the issue with the filters not lasting. I was thinking of buying one of these as a gift for a friend, but I guess I'll have to find a different brand.
I have been using the water filter pitcher for years and really like it. The filters last a good while and are easy to replace.
I got the filter very quickly. I needed that because The filter I had for back up did not seem to work well. This one works great.
