The first stage CeraMetix Filter

The CeraMetix® OBE filter cartridge combines our class leading ceramic micro porous outer shell with our AquaMetix® core block technology. The ceramic shell and our AquaMetix® block core combines mechanical filtration and physical adsorption processes to reduce a wide variety of drinking water contaminants of both aesthetic and health concern. AquaMetix® is made from the highest quality coconut shell based activated carbon and other superior adsorbent materials. Utilizing a unique compression molding manufacturing process, the base materials are melded into a solid block having a very uniform pore structure that ensures filtration consistency and high performance. The dense pore structure and vast surface area of the compressed carbon and specialty adsorbents is designed to improve taste and odor as well as to reduce chlorine, chloramine, volatile organic compounds, MTBE, lead, mercury, asbestos, arsenic and fluoride.

The cleanable ceramic shell is designed to remove suspended solids, The CeraMetix® elements have been tested in accordance with NSF protocols for cyst, turbidity, particulates, lead, chloramines and chlorine reduction (Class 1).

    • Is the system suitable for well water, variable pressure 20-50 psi and hard water? 200 pm TDS 260

Yes, it is suitable for well water. They do not filter hard water such as calcium and magnesium the good minerals.

    • How many gallons are the filters good for if they are set up on city water? When would I know to change the filters?

CeraMetix has a capacity of around 1,200 gallons. The AquaMetix is:  Fluoride—500 Gallons
Chloramines—3500 Gallons Lead—3500 Gallons. You will get the bad taste back, or the flow rate will drop way down. We recommend they be changed at least every year.

    • How much room do you need under the kitchen sink

The system measurements are approximately  12" L x 14" H x 5" W  ( you will need additional height inches to remove the sumps and replace the filters ie total 17-18")

    • Does this also remove salmonella?

      Yes it does remove salmonella.

    • Will this filter remove coliform bacteria?

      Yes it will.

    • Do the filters take out the PFAS chemical?

Yes, they filter 99% of them.

    Quick and Easy

Ordered online. Fast delivery. The kit had all required parts for install. No need to get something extra from the hardware store.
The water is great! Huge difference. No chlorine smell and taste. I finally have peace of mind with our drinking and cooking water.
Also your buying from a small company. Not some monster company that consumes everything in its path.
    Thank you!
