USA water companies can add a maximum of 0.7-1.7ppm (0.7-1.7 milligram per litre (mg/L)) of Fluoride to the water stipulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)" Since August 2023 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has stipulated that the total amount of fluoride (added plus naturally occurring) cannot exceed 0.7 mg/L.
