Aquacera 7 Inch CeraMetix Gravity Replacement Filter filter elements utilize our class-leading CeraSyl™ DE (diatomaceous earth) ceramic microporous outer shell combined with our AquaMetix® granular core technology.
AquaMetix® is made from the highest quality NSF component certified (ANSI 61) coconut shell based activated carbon and other superior adsorbent materials including B2 (ANSI 61).
The ceramic shell and our AquaMetix® granular combines mechanical filtration and physical absorption processes to reduce a wide variety of drinking water contaminants of both aesthetic and health concerned.
The pore structure of the ceramic enables sufficient contact time for AquaMetix® to be ideally suited to improving taste and odor as well as reducing chlorine, chloramine, volatile organic compounds, MTBE, lead, mercury, asbestos, arsenic, and fluoride.
The cleanable ceramic shell is designed to remove suspended solids, pathogenic bacteria, and cysts. The CeraMetix® elements have been tested by NSF protocols for cyst, turbidity, particulates, lead, chloramines and chlorine reduction.
- Pathogenic bacteria—>99.9999% (ALcontrol Laboratories) Cholera, Typhoid, Salmonella, E. Coli, Fecal Coliform

The CeraMetix GF filter is manufactured to remove suspended solids, pathogenic bacteria, cysts, organic chemicals and improve taste and odor. The ceramic is silver impregnated to prevent bacteria growth and is self-sterilizing. The ceramic shell is manufactured to balance flow rate and consistent pore size to provide maximum filtration efficiency. The center of the filter contains our AquaMetix granular media to reduce organic chemicals, fluoride, VOC’s, heavy metals and improve the color, taste, and odor of drinking water. This filter element is designed for gravity filter use and other low-pressure applications. These filters are designed for use in AquaCera® Gravity Filter Systems; they will also fit other makes of gravity systems.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
How long can water sit inside with regular use? Is there any waste? Is there a manual that I can access online?
The water flows through the filters in the top chamber so it doesnt sit for long. No there is no waste. Here is the link to the fiter instruction sheet.
Ceramic Instruction care sheet.
Do these filters also come with replacement washers and nuts?
Yes, they do.
Hi, I have a Propur Traveler and usually use a 7" Propur or Doulton ceramic candle filters. I have well water so no flouride but do live near a cemetery and gas stations and 2 abandoned manufacturing plants. Will this filter be as effective at removing VOC, fecal bacteria, etc.? And does it need to be primed?
Yes, these are the same as the Propur filters.
arrived on time and look identical to propur filters, cant get to excited about water filters, as long as they filter out all the nasty poison in the municipal water they say is safe to drink and they charge us for it. no amount of poison is ok for the human body, the FDA says certain amounts of poison is ok, how insane is that, the FDA is a corrupt organization that needs to be diassembled, it is rotten to the core with the pharmacy executives going back and forth in employment between FDA and Big pharma to make up the regulations to fit their agenda and that is not even a secret anymore so yes lets fire all these losers
