Please Note: Countertop units will not connect to pull out faucets. If your main faucet is a pullout faucet, you will need an under sink water filter
Multipure Aquadome countertop water filter has been awarded Best Buy by Consumers Digest August 2009
Enjoy cleaner more delicious water with the Multipure Aquadome countertop water filter. It is tested and certified to reduce a wide range of contaminants of health concern. The Multipure countertop Aqua-Dome is an excellent choice for homes, apartments, RVs, boats, and offices.
Multipure water filters use a solid carbon block filter that is considered to be the most effective way to reduce a wide range of contaminants that may be present in your water. The carbon is compacted into a dense structure, so every molecule of water is forced through microscopic pores of carbon.
The Multipure Aquadome countertop water filter will filter your water for approximately (1 Year) 750 gallons it is recommended that you replace the cartridge when the following occurs: 1 annually, two the units rated capacity is reached, 3 when the water flow slows down, or the filter becomes saturated with bad tastes and odors.

How the Filter Works:
MultiPure Drinking Water Systems’ replaceable triple-action filter has been formulated using materials that will provide the highest quality drinking water without removing the healthful, natural minerals. MultiPure's carbon block filters combine mechanical filtration, electrokinetic adsorption, and physical adsorption to provide the most effective contaminant reduction possible.
Mechanical Filtration: The filtration process begins with water passing through a graded density 5-micron pre-filter that traps dirt, sand, and particles that affect the taste, odor, and overall appearance of your water. Then the water passes through the highly compacted solid carbon block where direct mechanical interception of particles as small as 0.5 micron occurs. Asbestos, cysts, and turbidity are reduced through mechanical filtration at the sub-micron level.
Electrokinetic Adsorption: The graded density prefilter acquires a positive molecular charge as water passes through it. Since most colloidal contaminants exhibit a negative charge in solution, the media fibers will electrokinetically attract charged colloidal particles too small for removal by mechanical straining.
Physical Adsorption: MultiPure’s highly compacted carbon block filter media is a blend of selected activated carbons and other materials that reduce aesthetic contaminants and health-related contaminants. Many carbons are selected with a high surface area and high retentivity characteristics. The materials are formed into a carbon block, which is densely compacted to provide longer contact time and outstanding performance that cannot be achieved with other filtration technologies. MultiPure’s carbon block filter effectively adsorbs contaminants with health significance, including chlordane, lead, mercury, MTBE, PCBs, Toxaphene, and VOCs, plus aesthetic contaminants such as chlorine and chloramine.
The carbon block filter is engineered so that contaminants removed by mechanical filtration will cause the flow rate to decrease, and the filter will clog. It is recommended that the filter is replaced when the first of the following occurs: (a) annually; (b) the unit's rated capacity is reached; (c) the flow rate diminishes; (d) the filter becomes saturated with bad tastes and odors.
The effectiveness of any drinking water treatment device is measured by the performance of its filter. MultiPure provides the best in water filtration!
